This is the last week of working out for Genius Hour
On Monday I went to track where I pole vaulted and then went to Combat where I made my own circuit that worked on lower body and core On tuesday I went to track where I did sprint starts and a few sprints, then went to Combat where I did a speed and power workout Wednesday I went to track then went to Combat and did lower body Thursday I had track where I pole vaulted This project has been very successful for me and I´ve gotten in really good shape and my sprint times have gone down about to where I hoped they would, I will continue to work out at combat after the project is over and I will continue with track. 20 yd sprint time: 2.85 Weekly weight: 120

This week I went to track on Monday where we ran until I felt like I would throw up
On Tuesday I went to track which was a lighter sprinting day but then went to Combat and worked on upper and lower body and core. On Wednesday I went to track and sprinted Thursday I went to track and then to combat where I did speed and agility work and ot a new sprint time which is below Friday I pole vaulted at track On Sunday I went to Combet where I did lower body 20 yd sprint time: 2.81 Weekly Weight: 120 This week was Thanksgiving so I didnt go except for Sunday afternoon where i got a sprint time
20 yd sprint time: 2.81 Weekly Weight: 115 Tuesday I went to track practice where I ran repeat 100 meter runs, then repeat 30, 60, and 90 meters at a sprint which was challenging. Then after that I went to combat where I ran one shuttle and then did a core circuit.
Wednesday I went to combat for a while where I did a leg workout. Thursday I went and did arms and upper body along with wrist workouts because that will help with my bat strength. 20 yd sprint time: 2.88 Weekly weight: 116 On Monday I had track practice where we ran, and ran, and ran. I actually almost threw up and the cramp I got in my side was so bad that I couldn't walk straight. After practice I went to Combat where I did a lower body circuit. I decided to go easy on myself so I didn't do THAT much.
Tuesday I didn't have track but I did go to Combat where I was with a lot of other sprinters so we worked on our sprint starts. Wednesday track was cancelled so I went to Combat where I worked on speed work and starts. On Thursday I did track where we ran stadiums while SKIPPING steps, my legs are pretty short so for me to skip steps was a challenge. Then I went to Combat afterwards where I did forearms and wrist exercises. 20 yd sprint time: 2.90 Weekly weight: 116.2 This week I went to combat on Tuesday where I did lower body and sprint work and form. I got a new sprint time which is posted below and I squatted 145 (not successfully).
Winter Track started Wednesday where we did some hardcore stretching the whole time. I went to Combat after that where we did form work and speed work. I had track thursday where we did some running but not anything impossible, and then went to combat where I did upper body because my legs were slightly sore. On Friday I went to track where we ran a mile… I don't run miles. I don't really run any distance of any kind. My legs didn't thank me for that. Saturday I had softball practice for the first time in a while so I wasn't the best I could've possibly be. But I got in some good work that I needed to do. 20 yd sprint time: 2.86 Weekly Weight: 118 This week I went to Combat on Tuesday where I did lower body and a lot of squats with weights. I squatted 125 and it found it easier than I did last time I squatted that weight. I ran my 20 yard and got a better time, I didn’t expect my time to go down as much as it has.
On Thursday I went back to Combat where I did upper body the whole time. Upper body is a particular struggle for me because ALL of my power is in my legs. I went to Combat on Friday for a short while and I did some core and squats On Sunday I had softball practice with my travel team and that worked on my whole body. I also noticed this week that I’ve started eating a lot more and a lot unhealthier and im not sure how that's impacting my performance. 20 yd sprint time: 2.86 Weekly weight: 114.7 This week I went to Combat on Tuesday where I did speed and agility work. I timed myself in a sprint and my times were worse than last week.
I went on Wednesday and did a leg workout Thursday I did a core circuit which is the same circuit I did a few weeks ago and really struggled with but I found it easier this time. On Friday I did upper body and was sore for most of the weekend. I went to Combat on Sunday where I started by doing legs but i ended up getting hurt and so I did upper body for the rest of the time 20 yd sprint time: 3.02 Weekly weight: 113.0 This post will be a little short because the past week was just really busy and I didn't have much time to work out. This week I was really busy and I was only able to go to combat for one day and that was Tuesday, the workout was based around legs, so we did a lot of squats. This week I went to Combat on Tuesday where we did circuits. This was focused on lower body and core and it was a pretty difficult workout, so difficult that I almost threw up afterwards. I timed myself during a 20 yard sprint on Tuesday and I got a better time than I had in the previous weeks, this time is posted below. I was told that my time was better because my form and explosiveness at the beginning improved a lot. I didn’t go and work out on Wednesday because I didn’t have a ride home, but on Wednesday I was getting sore from the previous day. I don’t think my level of soreness is as bad as it was the first week. If I had done the workout I did on Tuesday during my first week of this then I think I wouldn’t have been able to walk for a few days, but now in my current condition I don’t think it will affect me as much. On Thursday I did a lot of squats and a lot of lower body. My legs hurt really bad the next day. I also retimed myself and got a better time than Tuesday. Friday I went back to Combat where I did core because I didn't want my legs to be super sore for a tournament I played in on Saturday. On Saturday I guest played for a travel team in Huntersville.
